DES UGLE PARK

Public BBQ

Des Ugle Park offers an impressive range of facilities spread across a generous footprint in Withers. The park features a popular flying fox that consistently draws crowds, alongside basketball courts, a BMX track, and outdoor gym equipment. Multiple playground areas cater to different age groups, including nature play spaces and climbable sculptures shaped like native animals. The bike and skateboard tracks provide dedicated areas for wheeled activities. BBQ facilities are available with drinking water fountains nearby, though there are no public toilets on site. Seating areas and barbecue spots make it suitable for gatherings and parties. The park includes native vegetation and security lighting for evening use. Some visitors note the absence of traditional slides and suggest the park could benefit from more child-focused equipment rather than adult exercise stations. Free Christmas concerts are occasionally held here, bringing community entertainment with bands, stalls, and food vendors.
